Shift Mechanics will work a 2-2-3 schedule.

Initial training maybe on days, but once complete you will be assigned to night shift.

Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring equipment uptime by quick in-depth trouble shooting and repair of equipment failures. Working knowledge of facility (Water farm, air compressors, UF, RO, and general maintenance of building). Works directly with machine operators and manufacturing supervisor to resolve mechanical issues that arise during shift.

Detailed Description
• Troubleshoots high-speed Krones bottling equipment—blow molder, labelers, shrink film packers, laser date coders, bottle/case conveyors, and robotic palletizer.
• Repairs high-speed bottling equipment through machinery adjustments, part replacement or fabrication.
• Uses schematics and technical drawings to assist with troubleshooting and repair.
• Recommends process equipment repair solutions to Production Supervisor.
• Works with production operators to improve and enhance their machine knowledge and trouble shooting skills.
• Performs product and pack changes throughout the shift.
• Completes required paperwork, documents parts and material usage as well as needed repairs at end of each shift.
• May work independently or in teams to complete repairs and changeovers in a timely and safe manner.

Work Experience
Preferred
2-4 years of high speed manufacturing experience
4-6 years of maintenance experience
0-2 years of supervisory/lead experience

Education
Minimum Required:
High School Diploma or GED

Any technical degrees, certification or training a plus

Competencies
• Knowledge of injection molding, blow molding, multi-reel labeling, volumetric filling, bottle and pack conveyors, shrink film packers and robotic palletizers.
• High-speed manufacturing.
• Familiarity with plant utilities—air compressors, heat exchangers, dryers, cooling towers, boilers.
• Work experience within food or beverage manufacturing.
• Ability to work nights, 12-hour shift and weekends.
• Knowledge of Krones bottling equipment a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
